Test Bench for Turbulent Flow Simulation with Drag Reducer Agents
The client’s requirement involves the supply of a test bench designed to simulate the turbulent flow of a fluid combined with Drag Reducer Agents (DRA) under pressure and temperature, along columns made of tubing with various diameters.
The goal is to measure the pressure drop through the differential pressure between the inlet and outlet of the columns, depending on the concentration of DRA added to the fluids (5/200 PPM). Based on the fluids used, the desired Reynolds number should range from 5,000 to 50,000.
The maximum operating pressure requested is 50 bar, and the maximum operating temperature is 70°C.
The fluids used are:
- Seawater
- Hydrocarbons (gaseous and liquid)
- Reservoir water (high salinity)
Optionally, the test bench can integrate the possibility of using liquid CO2 by incorporating specially adapted equipment.
