Osmosis test bench for claystone samples
The BRGM‘s request involves the design and supply of a test bench for performing osmosis tests on claystone samples. The primary objective is to measure liquid flow through a sample while being able to apply temperature gradients.
The claystone sample is placed under in-situ conditions using a core holder-type cell. The test bench is designed to meet the following operational conditions:
- Sample dimensions: Ø40 mm x 10 mm
- Sample confinement: Maximum pressure of 50 bar
- Fluids in contact with the sample: Water
- Maximum operating temperature: 40°C
This setup allows for precise control and measurement of osmosis phenomena under controlled pressure and temperature conditions.
