Services for HP/HT equipment

Maintenance, retrofit, and requalification of pressure equipment

Pressure equipment that is down, obsolete, or non-compliant halts your tests and production. With expertise in maintaining laboratory equipment since 1994, we service systems from any manufacturer, with or without documentation, to restore their performance, extend their service life, and ensure their compliance.

01 — The problems we solve

Your equipment, our services

Whether your equipment has failed, is technologically outdated, or is due for inspection, our engineering team analyzes its design to define a solution for repair, modernization, or compliance.

Modernizing equipment with an obsolete control system

A test rig's mechanics can remain effective while its control system (PLC, software, sensors) becomes a source of failures or a functional bottleneck. When manufacturer support is no longer available, we graft a modern control system onto the existing mechanics, restoring its full capabilities and adding new functionalities.

Refurbishing worn precision equipment

Wear on critical parts such as seals, pistons, or check valves degrades the performance of a high-pressure system, causing leaks or a loss of precision. Our in-house service involves complete disassembly, material analysis, and precise refitting to restore the equipment's original specifications.

Servicing equipment with no drawings or documentation

Repairing or modifying equipment from a defunct manufacturer without technical documentation requires reverse engineering. Our design office analyzes the mechanical, electrical, and software design to model it, allowing us to safely intervene for troubleshooting, repairs, or modernization.

02 — Custom-built

Our custom services

Every piece of equipment and every laboratory has its own constraints. Our services are tailored to meet your specific needs for availability, performance, and compliance.

Preventive and corrective maintenance contracts

To guarantee the uptime of your critical equipment, we work with you to define a custom service plan: frequency of visits, technical scope, spare parts inventory, and target response times, all adapted to your machine park and operational requirements.

Control and SCADA system retrofits

We replace obsolete components (PLC, software, sensors) on mechanically sound equipment. This targeted upgrade extends its service life, improves its reliability, and can incorporate new measurement or safety features without requiring a complete replacement.

In-house mechanical refurbishment

We handle the complete overhaul of major worn components like pumps or valves. After a precise diagnosis, the refurbishment includes replacing wear parts and conducting functional validation tests before returning a component restored to its nominal performance.

03 — Measurements

Validation and compliance

Every intervention is validated by tests that guarantee the equipment is not only functional but also safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Equipment condition assessment

Before any work, we conduct a detailed assessment of the equipment's condition. This diagnosis helps identify the causes of a failure, locate points of wear, and define the exact scope of the necessary repair or modernization.

Functional and pressure testing

After a repair or retrofit, we perform a series of functional and pressurization tests. These tests validate that the equipment has regained its original performance and that its behavior is stable and reliable under its operating conditions.

Hydrostatic testing for requalification

As part of the periodic regulatory requalification, we perform the hydrostatic test. This test involves subjecting the vessel to a pressure higher than its service pressure to verify its mechanical strength and ensure its operational safety.

05 — Our approach

Our approach to maintenance and retrofitting

Our work follows a structured three-step process, ensuring a clear understanding of your needs, a well-managed execution, and an objective validation of the restored performance.

  1. Diagnose and plan

This first phase consists of accurately assessing the equipment's condition, either on-site or in our workshop. We analyze the symptoms, identify the root cause of the problem or the scope of the modernization, and provide you with a detailed and costed action plan.

  2. Intervene and repair

We carry out the defined operation: targeted repair, replacement of wear parts, mechanical overhaul of a sub-assembly, or a complete upgrade of the control and SCADA system. We work on our own equipment as well as on that of other manufacturers.

  3. Validate and document

No equipment leaves our workshop or is put back into service without full validation. Functional and pressure tests certify the return to expected performance. For a requalification, we update the manufacturer's file.

06 — FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can you service equipment that you did not manufacture?

Yes, we service equipment from all manufacturers. Our experience, built on maintaining laboratory equipment since 1994, has allowed us to develop multi-brand expertise. Whether for a repair, modernization, or regulatory compliance, our engineering team can analyze and understand the design of systems we did not originally build.

My equipment is old and the manufacturer is out of business. Can you do anything?

Yes, this is a common situation for which we have developed specific reverse-engineering skills. In the absence of drawings or documentation, our engineering team analyzes the equipment to reconstruct its mechanical, electrical, and software design logic. This step then allows us to troubleshoot it, replace obsolete components, or modernize it with full control.

My rig's mechanics are perfect, but the software is from the 90s. Do I have to replace everything?

No, a complete replacement is not necessary. We offer targeted retrofit services that consist of modernizing only the control system. We keep the sound mechanical part and graft on a modern PLC, sensors, and SCADA software. Your equipment gains in reliability, functionality, and user-friendliness for a much lower investment than a new test rig.

Do you handle the periodic regulatory requalification of my pressure equipment?

Yes, we manage the entire periodic requalification process for your equipment subject to the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). Our service includes planning the intervention, visual inspection, performing the hydrostatic test in our workshops or on your site, and updating the manufacturer's file with the corresponding reports. We thus ensure that your equipment remains compliant with current regulations.

Is your high-pressure equipment down, obsolete, or due for requalification?

Contact our engineering team for a diagnosis. Together, we will assess the best strategy to extend its service life and guarantee its performance.
